Chris Grealish and Brook Watts came together to form Cross Partners after many years of working jointly on projects in an informal manner.

Drawn together by a common interest in competitive cycling, they were also motivated to see event production taken to a higher level.  They also had a desire to incorporate some of the key elements they saw missing in so many events– a high level of organization, strong marketing and promotional support, savvy public relations and clear metrics for measuring sponsor value.

In addition the pair viewed their efforts in competitive cycling as a model for a range of other events and saw an opportunity to apply that successful template across multiple sporting and special events.

Based in Boulder Colorado, arguably the center of the cycling universe, the pair have a network of contacts across not only the cycling industry but throughout the entire outdoor recreation industry.

KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Grealish and Watts are responsible for CrossVegas (Las Vegas, NV) and The Boulder Cup (Boulder, CO), the top international cyclocross races in the U.S.
    • CrossVegas attracts 10,000 spectators each year, the largest cyclocross race in the U.S.
    • The Boulder Cup attracts racers from nationwide and  internationally to Boulder for the high altitude racing challenge
  • Cross Partners were the first cyclocross promoters to produce TV programs in cyclocross including 2008 broadcasts reaching 65+ Million households.
